Unfortunately, the survey results are skewed towards JetBrains product users. So if you are not using JetBrains tools you are very welcome to answer as well to make the results more representative!

My Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 became unusable after the system update. I have an English password, but keyboard doesn't have that layout anymore. You can't add a language with a locked device either. 🙁

If you have been avoiding to defer for performance reasons, Go 1.14 is going to inline a ton of common cases of defers and make them as fast as regular function calls. I wrote an article on this improvement, see

What is your main reason to attend meetups when you're not giving a talk yourself? If you don't go to meetups, please share why. Conferences are out of the question. :) For clarity, I mostly refer to the tech meetups with more or less standard agenda.

I'm in a phase where you'll merge a code that's not perfect, but it passes the tests and can be improved later. I started to like optimistic merging. I was opting for multi-round reviews before, so the code that gets merged is as clean as possible.

  14. 2/2 DHL deliveries in Germany failed so far. So disappointing. I won't get my hacktoberfest t-shirt this year. Nor will I get a 3D printer for a new year. :(

  20. Gave a talk for PHP Yoshkar-Ola meetup: > The Missing Static Type Ballad It's about the problems that we have due to the very limited type hinting support in PHP. It also gives a few insights on how NoVerify static analyzer handles type inference. (EN)
