For ppl who live here, who have been working on the issue for years, this is important. People who live here are more likely to get hit by car than anywhere in SF. I don't think that deserves mocking. We also care about real changes in other public safety, street safety issues.

I’d wager that the majority of tenderloin residents would say that the drugs and homeless people are a much greater problem than speeding cars. What are you doing about them? Where are the results?

And I agree. Those are top two issues, + mental health. I also don't think so many people should get hit by cars I passed law to bring it 1000s of ppl into hotels, many from TL, bringing tent count to lowest in years. Now working to make sure they all exit to housing, we expand.

and many many more things in my less than 2 years in office related to homelessness, cleaning, safety, but yes there is much more to do, there are huge challenges, and SF has generally failed my district and its residents for years, that's what we we are working to undo

Along with all the other criminal activity. I have to go out the door armed with pepper spray since the "criminal element" won't leave me alone.

@matthaney and his bros. @chesaboudin and @DeanPreston think people getting high on the streets is a
"victimless" crime. They are definitely wrong on that score.
