This is how we effectuate change: Community and families directly impacted by police violence identify a problem. Our office puts in place a solution. Courageous members of the assembly draft legislation to solve the problem statewide. Onward!https://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2020/08/06/ab767-police-brutality-victims-compensation/ …

I have a better idea. Drafting legislation that allow Communities and Families directly impacted by Criminal Violence to seek compensation from YOUR office for Refusing to Prosecute. Watcha think

I asked why that law wasn’t in place when Gascon & his staff fumbled in respecting my Marsy’s Rights when I was attacked. His staff let my attacker go w/o once notifying or letting me testify during the preliminary. Marsy’s Law was named after a murdered victim for this reason.

That's terrible. That shouldn't have happened.

No it shouldn’t. A federal judge agreed. KCBS did a 6-part series on it. This was when I first returned from Los Angeles not knowing how bad; dangerous, things became since I left. Then & today, there is no legislation that reprimands the DA for negligence, willful or otherwise.

Maybe there should be. For some people who are victims of crimes, it does change their lives and bad decisions from judges and lawyers can cause irreparable harm both physically and psychologically.

I think that law exists in Oregon but no where else to my knowledge.
