probably but I was informed that I was hired to do a job which I am still doing. If I want more money I should go elsewhere. Companies are there to make money it's not in their interest to pay employees properly.

When you say “doing a job,” is it purely physical repetitive work? Is there no increase in skill? Is there no learning that provides benefit? Often the work is nominalized to hide such incremental increases of value.

We when I did move on my new job title was senior software developer.

IME, that's a relatively meaningless title. It says little about the work that is done and even less about the value of that work.
