You know at the very beginning of Portal when GLaDOS greets you saying "Hello and, again, welcome...", did you ever wonder why she says "again"? The theory is that Chell has been cloned over and over

Probably Chell was cloned from a vital organ which was donated to the Aperture Science Self-Esteem Fund for Girls. This is what "Your specimen has been processed" alludes to

It's a fairly grim theory given that it ends up with Chell being exploded by energy pellets over and over until she eventually escapes and kills GLaDOS
