So I might as well admit that the Fine Structure rewrite doesn't seem to be happening. It's too big a project and I have no enthusiasm

I write about one chapter a month, at a push. Fine Structure is about two years long by that metric and I reckon I'm only 2-3 chapters in

I regret saying I was going to do a thing and then not doing it. I try not to do this. I may come back to this one day. Now the good news:

Another reason it's hard to work on Fine Structure is because of more interesting projects lurking around.

I am working on a follow-up to my SCP Foundation series "There Is No Antimemetics Division", provisionally titled "Five Five Five Five Five"

I'm aiming for something like: "Aliens" : "Alien" :: "Five Five Five Five Five" : "There Is No Antimemetics Division"

I'm also trying to rewrite the ending of Ra. I think that's much more tractable than the full-length Fine Structure rewrite.

Also it's more likely to actually be good.
