Apparently it needs to be explicitly stated: in the JavaScript ecosystem, the suffix "JS" will be considered optional. Node.js is "Node"

In common usage, Backbone.js is "Backbone". Handlebars.js is "Handlebars". Seems like React was officially ReactJS before dropping the "JS"

It's mind-blowing, therefore, that you'd voluntarily move us to a universe where "Angular" and "AngularJS" mean different things

Maybe the third one will be called "Angular.js", that's nicely unambiguous

This is a roadblock in front of every single Angular(JS)-related StackOverflow or Google search query, forever

Calling it "Angular 2" or "AngularJS 2" would have been better, but still annoying for the purposes of searching.

You'd end up in the Python nightmare. Every query for mere "Python" gives Python 2 results and the trailing "3" is aggravatingly unskippable

I have a pet theory that this factor, more than any other, hurt/is hurting uptake of Python 3
