Binary Roman numerals go I, X, XI, C, CI, CX, CXI, M, MI, MX, MXI, MC, MCI, MCX, MCXI, and then you run out
E.g. the Roman symbol for digit "4" is "IV" in the units place, but "XL" in the tens place.

Also, their symbol for "0" is "" in each place.

So my "binary Roman numerals" is constrained to use only one of two symbols in each place: "" for "0", "I"/"X"/"C"/"M" for "1"
