Self-driving car personhood would enable a specific vehicle, not the manufacturer, to be held personally responsible for a collision

Human-like AI is not a prerequisite for personhood, you just have to get a law passed declaring it to be so! Ask any corporation

If all cars of a model use the same driving algorithms, can they be considered separate people? Model-year personhood sounds better.
