Can we completely excise Arkham Asylum from the Batman mythos? It's really not a great way to treat (or present) the mentally ill.

I mean, just to start with, the conflation of "criminal" with "mentally ill" is not great.
And the unfortunate fact that a mentally ill Batman rogue can never be effectively treated without removing them from all future stories
