@qntm I think that for novices with rudimentary understanding of programming (like Dijkstra) GOTO was a relatable way of attacking BASIC.
@rhymebyter Am I understanding this? Dijkstra: "GOTO in languages other than asm is bad", you: "GOTO in asm is good, therefore GOTO is good"

@rhymebyter I mean if you wanted to argue in favour of URLs as GOTOs, why not link to NPM itself, or a case where NPM worked great

@qntm Well, it exists in MANY things other than asm, and works just fine, everyone depends on it even if they don't realize it. -
@rhymebyter Then why did you bring up assembly? C would be a better counterexample, GOTO finds real use there because no exceptions
