Wikipedia displays this image https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:I_Ching_hexagrams_00-77.svg … but provides no particular rationale for the yin/yang symbol...
Hah! The Code2000 font renders U+4DF4 HEXAGRAM FOR DEVELOPMENT and U+4DF5 HEXAGRAM FOR THE MARRYING MAIDEN upside-down (or swaps them)

It also looks as if the Code2000 font is unmaintained https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code2000 , so minimal chance of getting this fixed in future versions

@qntm Hmm, looks okay here: http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/4DF4/fontsupport.htm … Looks like Symbola, Everstone, BabelStoneHan, DejaVuSans all have it too. -
