At this point it becomes very obvious that I'm just reinventing Base64 with higher code points, which also means I need a 65th character.
Wikipedia displays this image https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:I_Ching_hexagrams_00-77.svg … but provides no particular rationale for the yin/yang symbol...

Hah! The Code2000 font renders U+4DF4 HEXAGRAM FOR DEVELOPMENT and U+4DF5 HEXAGRAM FOR THE MARRYING MAIDEN upside-down (or swaps them)
