      @qntm Braille is not a 1-to-1 representation. Dots 1245 identify A-J/K-T/U-Z+W depending on dots 3&6; contractions exist...

      @qntm ...numerals and capitalization are prefices, punctuation are two-cell Brailles, etc. Dots 7&8 are *typically* computer-centric...

      @qntm ...but nowhere near ASCII. Ex: "A", "1", and "a" are [cap][a], [num][a], and [a] (respectively). ASCII is clear binary sequence...

      @qntm ...Braille is not. Now, that said, you cam use Braille to represent a byte. It just won't be legible as Braille.

      @XioNYC braille-encoded binary would be unrecognisable as text to Braille users, same way hex-encoded binary is unrecognisable as English

      @XioNYC Honestly the whole thing is an abuse of the Braille code points. Same as when people use them to make dot-matrix images

      @XioNYC I mentioned in the README that I doubt anybody, sighted or otherwise, would have use for braille-encode
