If only we'd understood how dangerous this aspect of C was before. Or had the technology to guard against it
In other "mind-boggling that it didn't already exist" news, I see GCC6 is adding a warning for when you dereference a null pointer

Reminder that GCC is the compiler where -Wall is the setting which does not enable all the warnings.
