If people who set intelligence tests are so smart, how come IQ is a totally subjective measurement whose meaning changes year on year

My IQ was 100 in 2008, yours was 100 in 2014. Which of us is more intelligent? Who the hell knows?

Maybe IQ measurements make perfect, unambiguous sense, but only to people with higher IQs than me :-|
