You know, in Washington state they just made traffic footage illegal to use for anything but traffic crimes, it wasn't even hard. CA could do this for streetlights etc.

That seems counter productive. Using civil disobedience/riots as a precident to eliminate an evidence source could prevent future use to substantiate police malfeasance or prosecute hate crimes. Real policy question will be who has access and how easily.
