I think he literally typed out + edited the last few books because Pterry started to write by diction since he lost the ability to use the keyboard It would really explain why the books aren't up to snuff

From what I recall from interviews they've given, TP and RW have done a lot to obfuscate how much RW did to write the novels, especially because TP couldn't read by the end, so he couldn't edit or draft etc
