Programmed in C - always expect off by one errors.

It's funny. I've seen several different programming and scripting languages, and only *two* of them start counting at 1. Those are classic Basic and Lua. And classic Basic let you do "OPTION BASE 0" to bring it in line with literally every other popular language at the time.
