OH NO! Flowers are growing! Insects are buzzing! Birds are moving in! This is only a good metaphor if your only idea of a good garden is a flat green surface. Most gardens I see would become a lot more awesome if untended.

A farm might be a more objective measure, here. A farm left untended will go to hell in short order.
