Also (I haven't read the paper yet but it may well cover these points): 1. This is by design. Shirking responsibility makes it easier to make money 2. AI doesn't have to REALLY be involved. Just SAYING it's involved gives much the same responsibility-shirking benefit

Sometimes it's "I want to effectively make this decision but not be held responsible for it", but sometimes it's "I don't want to be held responsible for this decision and I don't care how it gets made".
