I'm sorry qntm but this is a joke, it's speculated (no less by the scientists on the NH team themselves) that contact binaries are a common form of comet nucleus, and that 67P is a very degraded example. Ultima Thule is, however, a pristine example.

No, but its formation is similar to many comets. It's an example of an archaic body that was never knocked into an orbit which turned it into a comet.
