ftr, i dont consider tremendous concentrations of power to be particularly good or stable in any situation, but gritty reboots notwithstanding there is a good way to write superman with a less-than-optimistic view of power

lex luthor is a good villain because he uses capital and influence to do bad things indirectly. for superman to fight him using his physical strength, he must grapple w/ the ethics of that, which is cool
