Almost all content on the SCP wiki is released under CC-BY-SA 3.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ … This license allows Netflix to make and sell a series, but the series must be covered by CC-BY-SA 3.0 too, entitling *anybody* to remix and/or straight-up sell Netflix's series in turn
You cannot, in so many words, "buy the rights" to any SCP wiki entry
That only applies to the text of specific entries. What about the name 'SCP' and its trademark, or the general theme? Derived works from those could probably be trademarked & copyrighted proprietary, similar to how the big corps protect their theft from the PD.
