Lost was better. Lost had good standalone episodes, actual emotional arcs, engaging characters. Nothing on WW has rivaled the mindboggling opener to Lost S2. Or so many other excellent moments. They knew how to tell (tiny, mini) stories (often unrelated to the main arc, but hey).

WW is frustrating because they seem to be spinning their wheels in hopes of a) 6 seasons & movie, b) obfuscating the season arc until it comes together at the end (but wasn't worth the wait) and in the process are producing dull episodes and wasting their hugely talented cast

Best way to watch Westworld is by reading episode synopsis on Wikipedia while listening to that Brian Eno ambient music app

I still maintain Lost had some good self-contained stories in the course of its run. The first series of Westworld works, the second I think has too many characters be omnipotent when advancing the plot requires it.

the best episodes of season 2 are all sorta standalone and that should have been the standard instead of working for the sake of The Twist

Westworld might be Lost, but I enjoyed Lost, for all it's flaws. It's too early to tell if they're really Mystery Boxing it. (Note: I have not finished Season 2. There may be more developments.)
