@gruber To be clear: Apple can create ramdisks for any device. We need a public bootrom exploit to do the same, so not for iPhone 4S or 5. -
@qmahoney So technically this means FIPS 140-1 & 140-2 mandates for approval for encryption standard is meaningless? -
@Jason_Diaz I don't think so. I think FIPS 140 only applies to the crypto module. That Apple can sign for their own devices is no surprise. - View other replies
