Is there a word for an honest politician? Although we wouldn't have much use for it.

It was a word used by Philip Jose Farmer in one of his SF books, "The Stone God Awakens". The man who awoke many millennia later didn't know what to call the evolved creatures, so he called some Hipporats (because it looked like a cross between the two), & others Snolligosters.
