Dragons tend to be adventurers or emperors, with few in between... Anyway, dragons! Hope you enjoyed.

For dragons, overall I want them to make the choice of how much they want to be in this world. Some dragons wander forever, enjoying the friends they make and the adventures they have. Other dragons find things they want to fight for or defend. Others...want to rule.

Last major mechanic is Draconic Might - dragons have the ability to temporarily shut down or ignore Axioms....but it takes Destiny, which dragons like to hoard!

(refresher - I replaced Mega-Damage with death and destruction damage. Creatures take full death dmg and half destruction, while structural and armor take full destruction and half dmg death)

Mechanics: Dragons switch form to change the damage they deal. Fighting mechs? Switch to dragon form. Fighting people? Switch to human form. Dragonfire is one of the few attacks that hits both types for equal damage

A dragon can cash in Destiny at the end of a campaign to find it's home and finally become an NPC, but the more destiny it cashes in, the better the home and the more powerful it becomes. Cash in enough destiny and your dragon becomes an Icon.

A dragon can choose too keep wandering. It rejoins the next campaign in a new human form (dragon form is immutable), with same memories, reset level, but....the same amount of destiny.

Until then they wander around mostly in a human form, learning about the world and making up their mind on their place in it. In game terms, what this means are dragons are the only class that can keep playing across campaigns.

PCs are "wandering" dragons. They wander in search of some mission or place to settle in. A dragon can't reach it's full power until it decides where it's home will be. It can take a dragon centuries to find a good home.

Morning Axiom dump. Talking about Dragons! No one knows how long dragons where actually around before things went boom, but they are definitely around now. They aren't common by any means, but their presence is certainly felt in regions they inhabit or control.

I always loved the tragedy of Juicers, and I guess they are the first class I'm building because I always wanted to see them be not only high power, but high drama and narrative potential too.

I'm using the Archmage Engine which has a lot of cool triggered ability stuff like flexible attacks, so You get to choose how Bind affects you by selecting a group of triggers or static effects. Each level, you can add more triggers and effects to the drug cocktail.

more "mind taking a quick break" stuff about Amped Humans. A fun mechanic is that most of the character choices involve you levelling up the drug you take (Bind), not the character themselves. The drug becomes more potent, not you.

when Bind finally kills you, it is a spectacular and individualized transformation. Some people turn to stone. Others become monsters. Some disappear into the sub-atomic realm. --- Anyway, dassit for now, hope you enjoyed!

In game terms, this means an Amped Human gets their drugs from one of the Icons. That icon might not have much use for them atm, but they will call them when they must. (and yes, I enjoy that taking Bind means you are also bound to a patron/pusher)

But no one takes Bind once. The power, the thrill, the unlocked potential is almost instantly addicting. Amped Humans are superhuman drug addicts. And Bind isn't just sold: It is controlled and given out in exchange for something by powerful people.

File under "too good to be true": it amplifies your DNA in the process of rewriting and replacing it. What it boosts and how it rewrites the DNA is particular to each individual. Even if you only take Bind once, the process starts and can't stop.
