Why are kids there at all? Riots are never safe for children, it's just stupid taking her there. She'll never forget that trauma which will just perpetuate the violence in her generation. How are they ever going to find peace this way?

Firstly, not every protest is a riot. Let’s start there. What this child may never forget is that the police will ignore her 1st Ammendment rights, however. You want her generation to find peace? DEMAND PEACE.
