For past few years been haunted by a question about filmed images. What is the point of videos: of the police murders of Black people or prison camps for immigrant children, if they do not lead to direct political action? Why are we watching, then?
May not be direct political action, but as awful and traumatic it is to see some of this I'm not sure we'd have as many peeps taking social action if we didn't. This may lead to political action. Speaking from experience, hurt like hell by all this, turning it into creative fuel
