Was the YouTube shooter female? Does it matter? There have been what, 2 female shooters out of hundreds of male mass shooters? Women can commit atrocities. It's still the case that it almost never happens.

I think it matters because there are some important differences: -no one was killed except herself (yet the media is already calling it a "massacre") -no evidence she aimed at men specifically (the ex-bf story was disproven) -no history of "misandry" -no sexual entitlement Etc

Well, I'm not sure what sexual entitlement has to do with it but anyway, male shooters don't usually shoot specifically at women. They may be misogynists but they shoot at random so I'm not looking at it from that angle.

I was thinking e.g. of Elliot Rogers, who went on a killing spree because angry about being "incel", or the Polytechnique shooter, who targeted women because "y'all are a bunch of feminists and I hate feminists". Nasim was enraged for a completely different reason.

I still don't see how any of that's relevant. I don't see the point in making comparisons when so few women do these things. She's a woman who went batshit and tried to kill people. It doesn't say anything about men or women. It's unfortunate it happened.

Someone tried to frame her crime as an inverted femicide, inventing some story about an ex-boyfriend, but that was debunked. I think this distinction between male and female crime patterns is important, so it can be relevant to know she was female.

There's no such thing as female crime patterns when it comes to mass shootings. Anyway, you're welcome to discuss that on your TL. I'm not interested in entertaining it here. Have a good day/night.
