@pzmyers @john_s_wilkins @lippard Hoping for a response that keeps the personal histories clearly distinct from the immediate merits!
Very BAD post. Surprised you'd recommend it.RT @john_s_wilkins @lippard @DuaeQuartunciae not recommending the individual, but that one post.

@DuaeQuartunciae yeah, but personal history has to be mentioned. Clint was a bit smarmy in denying his personal vendettas & associations. -
@pzmyers@DuaeQuartunciae Sorry, What have I denied? I have previously criticized Watson. And? -
@eclint@pzmyers@DuaeQuartunciae come one come all gather round and watch as pz once again punches skepticism in the face.

@pzmyers@lippard@DuaeQuartunciae EP is not a priori false. Just not well done some of the time. And adaptation is a good hypothesis -
.
@john_s_wilkins Adaptation is an inappropriate null hypothesis, however, & assuming it while denying other mechanisms is unforgivable. -
@pzmyers I am unconvinced adaptation is a bad null hypothesis - sometimes it is, sometimes not. Need constraints on when to use it.

@pzmyers@lippard@DuaeQuartunciae Bad how? Addresses points, not ad hominem, gives cites. Also, my citing isn't recommendation, but pointer -
@john_s_wilkins@pzmyers PZ is pretty notorious for avoiding any actual discussion of PE's evidence; prefers invective, sneering, mocking ;)
