I'm really curious what this means for the next year's flu numbers. Our annual flu shot is fighting mutations of the 1918 flu, so with a year of very few hosts, and people around the world still masking up does this KILL the 1918 pandemic?

The 2020/2021 influenza charts are beyond amazing, they're absolutely pornographic.https://twitter.com/tongodeon/status/1392735224216358915 …

You can’t really pin down this massive fall in cases of seasonal influenza on face masks and hand washing.. So many other factors probably played a large role too like.. lockdowns? school closures? working from home? ill ppl avoiding doctors/hospitals?

Influenza in Sweden (Green line). Very little mask usagepic.twitter.com/0ERZWzAK6x

I was thinking that low influenza cases could be due to covid being much more contagious. But it does’t mean that masks don’t work Sweden had restrictions also

I'll pass thanks. If the lockdowns, staying home all the time, and all the other stuff goes on much longer I'm going to go mad. Especially not for the goddamn flu. Like I'm all for masks when your ill (you should be staying home tho) and more handwashing but not all of it
