I was fired from being an Apple Genius after my manager discovered I jailbroke my phone. Like, literally later that day. Was broadsided - had no idea such a thing would inflame their ire, but it was taken as a counterculture move/theft, and I was walked out by security! In 2010.

No warning or conversation whatsoever, just hey come into our office, you're actually being fired, goodbye. My head spun for weeks(/years?) I had been an Apple fanboy my entire life, worked there 9 months, and my life took an entirely new direction after that (and not a good 1)
