    To any of The Youths following me, this is why I wish I'd started weightlifting in my teens instead of early 30s. I'm working hard to grow my PR of 145. Pick up Rippetoe's Starting Strength and build a lifetime foundation. (And fellow Olds, second best time to plant is today.)

    I hadn’t bench pressed since my early 20’s, but turning 48 I was curious how much strength I had lost. I took a few weeks to get back into it, and I am at 80% of my best lift as a 19 year old – 205 versus 255 (155 body weight). I’m pretty happy with that, all things considered.

    I was having a conversation with a person in a position to be repeatedly exposed to market norms in SF, and he says $160k plus equity is a rough sell versus $500k++ that AppAmaGooBookSoft is writing in quantity. a) I can understand why that a rough sell and b) that is market.

    After weeks of saying “here’s a problem that I don’t know how to solve” I spent two days plugging the parameters into the Z3, which figured it out in eight minutes (plus 20 hours learning Z3 and debugging). I am in love with this.
