November, when the talks started, Stripe was ~60b. They didn't get a 100b price tag till end of March with the series H funding round. Roblox did a series H a couple months before their IPO as well. It's very possible they worked it out prior.
Square's valuation is 95B right now- why would Bill pay 95B for stripe, when Square grew faster, was profitable and has more seasoned leadership. New valuations in last 3 months would put stripe around 60B IMO.
