That remains to be seen. SPACs provide an interesting avenue for companies to make an acquisition and go public in the same step. Maybe the core business spins off leaving behind transport and metals and we see an acquisition of IFPEN or something. Just brainstorming.

Not IFPEN. Another company they co-locate with that does enzymes for feed. I can’t remember the name. Cargill used to be one of my clients. They are VERY pro-collaboration and active in M&A.

You could be right but cargill is just so freaking humongous. Why open your books up to scrutiny if you can just stay private. 5b is peanuts. I mean it’s possible but I think unlikely.

I expect the core business to be spun out. I think we would see an extremely focused and mission oriented version of Cargill. They are huge but they’re spread out across so many industries. Much of that can be split off the core.
