I find the notion that critiques of beauty standards stem from “jealousy” lazy, but its weird to me how people will RUN to stop people from praising “mediocrity” (instead of NOT praising people based on beauty) then pretend that its somehow a deconstruction of beauty standards.

Like yaaaaaasss dont praise THIS pretty person praise THAT other pretty person that I personally find attractive while leaving the value of beauty as a whole untouched
