like i know their hypervisibility allows masses to see marginalized people but for the most part They are not like us because they don’t live like us. they’re usually ruling class examples of very complex identities with histories.
this is all to say don’t ever conflate fans and strangers “accepting” petit bourgeois ppl as they embrace themselves as material progress in any way and that making ppl understand these identities through these kinds of ppl gives a v limited perspective of the community AT BEST.
