it’s mainly producing and beat making but occasionally they get sampled voices or guest artists; mfs like lido can legit sing themselves too that’s always fun to listen to

my favorite edm besides dubstep is that pop-y soundcloud remix sounding genre... I can’t name the genre but mfs like lido, blap deli, the code, cashmere cat, and hoodboi fit in this category
