indigenous and black are not mutually exclusive and i don’t mean “there are people who are mixed with both” i mean many indigenous populations are very literally black people.

i think itz cus in america indigenous is short hand for “native americans” instead of describing any people to the land being referenced. it feels short sighted and closed to use it only like the former tho
