i think bi/pan should conflate to mean attractwd to all or most genders because lesbians, gays and straight people can like “2 or more genders” and still maintain their sexuality

As a butch dating a femme I don't think we're really in a "same gender" relationship even though we're both lesbians. I saw autostraddle once refer to a gay marriage as a "same gender" marriage but I don't think that tracks for a lot of gay people.

I think they were trying to be inclusive of trans people in not saying "same sex" marriage but then ran into different problems lol. Online spaces have been really tying themselves in knots lately trying to include everyone.
