when i’m kind i continue being aware of an unkind world where i can, will, and do use discretion. i will not be aimlessly kind in hopes to “better my chances”. i am only kind when i can be so genuinely for no return.

my kindness is more meaningful when i choose to be it. i dislike performing nicety out of fear or to be deemed likeable and palatable.
