“i’m sorry i hurt your feelings” is usually an incorrect way to apologize but it’s more valid than people are willing to admit because sometimes that’s the only thing you can be accountable to: hurt feelings

often it’s both someone did something that’s wrong AND someone’s feelings are hurt so being sorry or apologizing for hurting someone’s feelings would be incorrect and inconsiderate (which is why it usually is) but it can be more nuanced than that as things like this tend to be
