neurotypically speaking, kids aged 5-12 are different from kids aged 13-18 because your brain and body develop more and their is a (assumed) progression in maturity and thought but every minor is just that. a minor.

i don’t see childhood and teenhood as mutually exclusive. i would say most teens are also children/kids

i think seperating teens and kids is good for educational purposes and correctly targeting your audience via media but otherwise it just an excuse to prey on and sexualize teens (as an adult) because, well, they’re “not children”
