i studied under several therapists and there is no mandatory rule that you have to report when a person is suicidal to anyone. not the cops, hospital or your parents. at least in America, they do not HAVE TO tell like it’s not a law or overarching rule.

i’d argue most therapists are trash and as long as psychology (institutionally) serves individualistic capitalism it’s just about making you docile and/or functional enough to work and reproduce but we can go on about that forever

i knew they was mostly cops trying to make better workers but they press n enforce that reporting shit so hard i actually thought it was a truth :/ anyways that makes perfect sense that they lying i just never thought to question that part ty
