people are inherently flawed that’s literally something you learn in the bible (it’s original sin) so how could you comfortably know that and uphold the bible as law and not as a textbook (which is what it is)
i like the way you put this and it reminds me of college academia ‘cause it’s like believing in [insert theory or concept] but not every (text)book and article that some scholars wrote about that theory or concept. simple and easy to understand

i genuinely think everyone should read the bible through at least once but i, especially with the knowledge i have now after numerous religion classes and bible studies and just talking to clergy, would never sit here and wax rhapsodic about the infallibility of this book
