u can never praise sumn without somebody givin an unsolicited comparison. it’s like mfs brains are wired to compare all the time no matter what it is.
i try to think twice about comparing shit sometimes to something i know it’s like a “reflex” to measure something wit sumn else we’re familiar with but it’s not that productive

same here. finding what’s familiar used to help me understand sumn better than just letting it be on its own but u end up realizing it just takes away sum of the value

it makes sense when we’re young cuz we’re building our world and only have so much to reference to make sense of shit but as we grow like you said it just devalues whatever the thing is a lot of the time
