hard work isn’t exactly measurable nor is it too comparable across fields. describing work as “hard” divides workers and is used to worship wealth hoarders. i get work is all a lot of working class people have to show but “i work hard for my money” plays into capitalist myths.

reframing has the potential to disturb what little complacency some working class people have. hard work didn’t get you the little you have, the structuring of our capitalist system continues to rob you of what you need even as you work your ass off. don’t be grateful, be mad.
