I'm not keen on the usage of "racist" much anymore because what we're battling isn't [simply] "discrimination based on race". this broadness opens the floor for every comment including (any) race to be deemed "racist". "racist" doesn't speak to who has power and who doesn't.

there's a multitude of systems with intentional hierarchies and institutions in place to maintain existing power dynamics. it's not racism, it's anti-blackness, anti-semitism, sinophobia, etc. which should always be specified when possible. speak to who has power and who doesn't.
